Wednesday School: 7:00 - 8:00 p.m.
Our church school is built to help families equip children with a solid faith background through stories, music, crafts, and fun that will influence the way they live their lives as they mature—and the critical life decisions they make along the way.
Proverbs tells us to “Train a child up in the way he should go, and when he is old, he will not depart from it.”
Jesus tells us in Matthew to “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven.”
Parents, guess what? We have got an AWESOME idea for our little ones. Each first grader will be assigned a secret prayer partner, an elder within Lord of Life. This person will mail your child a postcard each month, letting your son or daughter know s/he is held in prayer. Then, in May, we will have a fun “reveal” celebration, where your kiddo will meet his/her prayer partner.
What do you need to do? Practically nothing, but at least this little bit.
1. Submit the Prayer Partner Form as soon as possible! We’d like our first postcards to go out in November.
2. When a postcard arrives in your mail, pause for a moment to read it with/to your child. First graders are emerging readers and may need your help. Also, it may be the starting point of a faith conversation in your home.
3. That’s it – I mean, let’s face it, you are a parent, it’s not like you are just sitting around looking for more things to do ☺.
