Michelle Schwab
Director of Youth & Family Ministry
Michelle lives in the Bismarck, North Dakota area with her husband, Joey, and their two children, McKenna and Caleb. Family is one of the most important parts of her life, and much of who she is has been shaped by being a wife and mom. Life is often busy and full, but she finds a lot of joy in spending time together with family and friends, supporting her kids in the things they love, and creating memories as a family. Faith is also at the center of who she is and has continued to shape the way she sees herself, her relationships, and the work she feels called to do.
She currently serve as the Director of Youth & Family Ministries at Lord of Life. In this role, she has the privilege of walking alongside children, youth, young adults, and families as they grow in faith and discover their place in the church. She especially loves creating spaces where young people know that they are welcomed, valued, and already an important part of the church.
Over the past several years, Michelle has felt an increasingly strong call toward ordained ministry. Through prayer, discernment, conversations with others, and her experiences in ministry, that call has continued to grow and has led her toward Luther Seminary and the candidacy process. She does not know exactly what every chapter ahead will look like, but she has learned that faith does not always mean having the entire path mapped out. She hopes to continue growing as a leader, serving others with compassion, and helping people of all ages experience a church where they know they belong and are deeply loved by God.
