Lord of Life is a congregation of the Western North Dakota Synod. With roots beyond our official beginnings in 1968, today we have over 1,000 baptized members, over 700 confirmed members, and more than 100 children in church school.

Purpose Statement

Love all, serve all, welcome all as Christ.

Guiding Principles

Watch us at our best and you will see us:
Deepening our faith
as we learn and grow together to become more like Christ. “But speaking the truth in love, we must grow up in every way into him who is the head, into Christ.” Ephesians 4:15
Loving and caring for one another by being Christ to each other. “Love one another just as I have loved you.” John 13:34
Welcoming and listening by creating respectful space for diverse people to explore faith together. “Bear one another’s burdens, and in this way, you will fulfill the law of Christ.” Galatians 6:2
Connecting to our neighbors by building meaningful relationships and partnerships. “Each of us must please our neighbor for the good purpose of building up the neighbor.” Romans 5:12
Giving generously by joining God at work among and around us. “Each of us must give as you have made up your mind, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.” 2 Corinthians 9:8
Sharing Christ’s love through word and deed. “Let all that you do be done in love.” 1 Corinthians 16:14

ELCA Affiliation

We are part of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA). The ELCA is an engaged, active body of people who put faith in God into action—in millions of ways, all over the world.

Lord of Life has always been a place that my family and I can come to for a respite away from this busy world. A place where the word of God is always first and foremost in the worship service. Also, my wife and I enjoy serving, and giving back in different ways!
